Progress:
J.T. and I have learned a lot thus far with this project. We have learned that the process may be more difficult that we had expected but we still believe we have the drive and the resources needed to tackle this challenge. Currently, we have a book that outlines nearly every step in the ski building process. This book has come in handy when researching about which materials will work best. J.T. and I are expecting to have the materials in by the end of spring break. Most of the materials can be picked up at our local hardware store except for ski specific materials such as the base. We also have found a website that has helped us through each step of the process.

Goals and Progress Measurement
Goals for this project:
My goal for this project is not necessarily to have a final, finished product of a brand new pair of skis. My goal is to do more in depth research of the ski building process. My partner J.T. and I will more than likely fail at this project, but our goal is to learn about what works and what doesn't when it comes to ski building such as materials, tools, ski press, training etc. Working together can also teach us how to be open minded to our partners ideas, teamwork is a valuable tool when it comes to working on a big project like this one.
Progress measurement:
In the end, I plan to put together a book or pamphlet that shows and details the pro and cons of our ski building experience. It will list the materials we used and their overall outcome. It will also list the tools that we used and and their overall performance in aiding us with the ski building process.
